I've been going to NASCAR races for a long time now.
Richmond, New Hampshire, Dover & Watkins Glen.
For the most part I have had great experiences.
At Watkins Glen, if your inside the track quite time is 11:00pm and enforced. Leaving after the race has been no problem, but I choose to stay until Monday.
It's not like 10yrs ago when is was every man for himself. They have been making an effort to change their reputation
Every other track if you camp in the "family" area people are usually very nice... But it's still the luck of the draw when you pull in.

We have a 2006 28 Ft Dutchmen that has a slide as you described.
The model number is 28 FDSL, the GVW is 9600lbs.
It has a King size bed in the "master bedroom".
Lots of room, it blows away the 30 Ft Salem we had before it.
That's what sold us on this trailer.
Haven't had any problems, even after 4 NASCAR trips this year.
The fit and finish could be better, but so far I am pleased with the purchase.
